(Week 1 – First Draft) 

06/24/24:
- Studied and examined different Song Styles from opportunities sheet list to determine my song style.

-Picked Bb Minor as my Key signature.

06/04/24:
- Decided to go with Modern Mainstream Pop/Rock.

-Chord progression for Intro: i VI III VII (Bbm Gb Db Ab), Verses: i VI III VII (Bbm Gb Db Ab), Chorus: i V VI iv (Bbm F Gb Ebm), Breaks: i VI III VII (Bbm Gb Db Ab), and Outro: i VI III VII (Bbm Gb Db Ab).

-Song form was chosen (Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus-Bridge-Chorus) (ABABCB). 

-Song structure outlined.

-Created Drums and Bassline for Logic file.

-Used Native Instrument Plug-in for drums and bass.

-Tested out different drum patterns for each section to try to fit the genre.

-Made bassline with a simple rhythm.

06/05/24:
- Lyrics were written for the chorus.

-Created Guitars and Keyboard to Logic file.

-One guitar was used for the rhythm section using Logic Plug-in. 

-The other guitar was for the main melody for the chorus.

-Used piano for chord progression and 

-Incorporated Native Instrument Plug-in for the melodic guitar.

06/06/24:
-Edited Logic file.

-Wrote verses.

-Added Ultrabeat Synth to add more texture to the Rhythm Section. 

-Changed plug-in for melodic guitar to Logic Legacy Plug-in.

06/07/24: 

-Added more revision to the Logic file.

-Added Synth Pop Strings, Mirror Pad, Pop Brass, and Celestial Brass Plugins for added effect for the rhythm section.

-Made a few changes to lyrics.

06/08/24:

-Worked on revising Verse 1 section of lyrics. 

-Went on YouTube to observe Pop Rock Bands to listen in on electric guitar Power Chords (Looked at Thirty Seconds to Mars).

-Changed guitars to play power chords.

06/13/24:

-Worked on revising Verse 2 section of lyrics.

-Went into Logic to change up the sounds on the Electric Guitars.

06/14/24:

-Worked on power chords for electric guitars.

-Worked on revising Chorus section of lyrics.

-Continued working on revising Logic file with power chords.

-Rewrote more of the lyrics again.

-Revised Bridge Section of lyrics.

 

06/16/24:

-Rerecorded lead vocals in Logic.

-Added Adlibs in Logic.

-Bounced an Mp3 file of Silly Clown.

-Submitted Second Draft.

 

(Week 3 – Third Draft/Peer Feedback) 

06/17/24:

-Reflected on my work and what I could do to improve it.

06/18/24:

-Had Feedback from Professor.

-Took Rhythm Guitar out of Verse Section so the verse could build up to the Chorus.

06/19/24:

-Added Some more elements and tweaked the bridge.

-Reworked the chord chart on second half of the Bridge: i III V7 viiº ii iv vi i (Bbm Db F Aº Cm Ebm Gm Bbm)
